Pregnant Spore is one of those noise artists who puts out so many releases that it's hard to keep track of and hard to decide where to start. For anyone slightly familiar with Justin Marc Lloyd's output, either as Pregnant Spore, Dim Dusk Moving Gloom, or Sensible Nectar, or his record label, Rainbow Bridge Recordings, you'll know that Justin is always active, always releasing new music, always touring, and always pushing the boundaries of modern music.
From harsh noise to head tripping drones, this 20-minute 3" disc packs what can only be a wormhole to space-time into a parallel universe. The disc starts off with a pulsation that roots itself in your mind like a parasite, ever present but always changing. Being the pulsations are smooth synth tones and what sounds like vocals obscured by a screeching sonic pitch.
The next two tracks on this disc follow the same idea, but are a bit less relaxed. They feel more sporadic, crazed, and psychedelic. To sum it all up, this disc sounds like crashing your car so fast that you fly through time and gain universal knowledge in the moment of death. Or having your brain eaten away by the devil, I'm not sure which.
