So, I'll just make this review short, not really sweet, but to the point. BMSR's album Eating Us came out today and I was STOKED. Dandelion Gum, to me, was their best effort out of everything they've done. That's mainly because the vocoder didn't bother me too much. But that album was truly psychedelic.
So, I popped this in and heard the opening track "Born On A Day The Sun Didn't Rise" which I wasn't really impressed with. It was just kind of a boring melody with repetitive vocals. I don't know, maybe I was just so heavily impacted by Dandelion Gum that I expected a little too much from this album. The only track I really enjoyed was "Twin Of Myself". Now, you may be thinking that I probably just listened to the first like, three tracks of the album and turned it off. Well, I didn't. I guess they just tried to impress listeners by having the best songs first and going downhill later on. I'd say this is decent, to add on cred for them still doing what they did before, just less catchy.
