Cat Killer is a one man band created by Dylan Bardi whom you may recognize from Ponyta. Not Ponytail, PonyTA. If you're fond of Ponyta, Cat Killer's EP Words To Remember sounds nothing like them. With a name like Cat Killer, it's a little misleading and could draw people away from the music just from the name alone. It's pop music and nothing more.
Its length is only 15 minutes, but it's 15 minutes of music worth listening to. The four tracks do have a bit of a gimmicky sound to them and we've all heard it, I think you know what it is. Something having to do with fidelity... ding ding ding! I'm not even going to mention it because it's been said so many times that it's overused. Anyways, every song stays in its style but constantly changing melodies and directions of sound. It's very simplistic too, from what can be deciphered is just guitar, drums and vocals.
It's also easily catchy. On first listen I'm caught humming the final song "Word To Remember". It's fun and calm music, ignoring the fidelity. And to describe the fidelity is simple; it sounds like someone was playing the album on a small speaker that was left under a pillow.
