2008 was a great year for No Age. They released their second album on Sub Pop titled Nouns which earned them an 9.2 out of 10 rating on Pitchfork, they made an appearence on Pete Wentz's MTV show FNMTV, and they played on The Late Late with Craig Ferguson. Without a doubt, they're one of the best two-man acts in the indie scene.
The first time I listened to Losing Feeling, I was quite surprised of how they've changed their sound. Most of the songs have a very ambient vibe but they still have the fast paced drumming and catchy guitar riffs. For being only 13 minutes long, it's a really great EP. I'm glad how they've changed their vibe a bit and not following the whole indie lo-fi scene anymore.
One of the songs that they really turned it down a notch is "Genie". It's layered with noise, electric guitars, acoustic guitars, and tops it off with Dean's double tracked singing. If they continue this whole ambient vibe, their next album will be ten times better than Nouns. Hell, they might even get themselves an 9.8 out of 10 on Pitchfork.
