There's no way I can really describe this album. Styles and sounds don't really change but in this case, it's no problem. The songs are basically like more classical-influenced, hi-fi Skaters songs. Julianna Barwick uses a loop pedal only (I think) and her voice. Her voice is just very soothing and has a nice range. Her voice is both the background music and main vocals. Now, it's not all vocals. It has keyboard and piano too.
So, I can't really go in depth on each track on its own. They're all fantastic and beautifully crafted and you can tell there wasn't much editing done on anything. Nothing gets too loud or too quiet, it sounds just right to give you one of the best listening experiences of your life. Actually, even though I listed "Classical" as a genre, I wouldn't recommend this to your average Bach fan.
